IIM Indore, Mumbai Campus participants were in for a delight when the Industry and Alumni Relations Committee arranged a Guest Lecture by Mr Shajan Ninan, Founder & CEO, Kaizen Center for Finance and Entrepreneurship, Alumnus of Harvard University.
Alpana (fondly called as Anantha) is second-year student at IIM Calcutta. She rather prefers to introduce herself as a member of IIM Calcutta Sports Council and Volleyball team captain. She loves to be surrounded by crazy people, has a childish tone, but can often command a situation with her ‘laser eye’ looks.
N.R Narayana Murthy, the iconic founder of Infosys once said that nobody was more bothered about an institute than its own alumni. With over eight thousand registered alumni spread across the world, the well wishes and the voices of support for SPJIMR as an institute are many. The alumni and the institute share a mutual loving relationship and the enrichment of this bond that is entrusted to the Alumni Committee, popularly known as ALcom. The Alumni, who have touched the pinnacles of success in the corporate and social sector globally, still remain rooted to their alma mater for the strong foundation and are always willing to contribute to its growth.

‘Running pole to post, working morn’ to night, the ever chugging train of thoughts, and the ever present desire to grow’ this summaries ‘LIFE’ the way it is. Briefly put, each one of us is a ‘Will Smith’ in ‘Pursuit of Happyness’. Treading the path in search of this Happiness are the 7.5 Billion people in this world. As a part of the whole pursuit, there comes a time in the lives of thousands the desire to seek, in thirst of knowledge (and to add to one’s salability), higher education. One such stream of knowledge, vigorously sought after, is Management. After going through tiring chores of mathematical rigours and flummoxing language bewilderment, which yet again is followed by interviews or rather tight-rope walks, one reaches a juncture where a decision is to be made. The decision which would define two years’ education and a lifetime’s learning.
An MBA education aims to pack a lot of punch in a relatively short span of 2 years. Therefore, every activity comes with the claim of being consequential. Amidst the various commitments, constant pressure and perpetual deadlines, the students always look for activities that make the hard work and the intense involvement worth it. The Projects Live Committee is committed to giving us those opportunities.
