By the time I got a call from Indian Institute of Management Udaipur, I already joined one of the premier B-schools. I was in the middle of a class when this notification of getting selected for the post graduate program of IIMU popped out in my mailbox. Although I was excited initially by looking at the call letter, soon entered into a state of dilemma as to what to do next. I had to take a major decision of choosing between the two colleges. With a little amount of time left in my hand to take a final call on which college to prefer, I started my own research of comparing the two colleges in each and every aspect such as faculty, campus life, clubs and committees, placements etc,. I had gone through blogs, social media, websites to get all the stuff related to the college. In this process, I came across some interesting facts about IIM Udaipur. Having moved into permanent campus with good facilities, it has a strategic advantage in terms of campus life.
It is the institute which gives much importance to entrepreneurship and provides a platform for budding entrepreneurs to achieve their goals. It provides all sorts of assistance starting from the seed stage of the idea till the implementation and stabilization of the business, thus acting as a incubator. It even stood ahead of top business schools in terms of research activities conducted.
Also, professor Janat Shah, the director of the college from its inception is the only one among the directors of new IIMs to get extension in tenure as director for successive terms thus being a huge asset for the institution. I interacted with the seniors and admission committee people and got welcoming words from them in return which boosted my morale. Meanwhile, I received a welcome mail from the director stating what can a student from IIMU which eventually made my mind to choose the college. The vision of the institute and the main objective of all round development of the individual with a high focus on academic excellence created a sense of interest in me. In brief, it gave an outline of the transformational journey that one is going to experience as a student in the institute. All these factors lead to my final decision of choosing IIMU. I packed my bags and reached the campus. The city has a charming environment with lots of lakes and forts around. Within a few days itself, I understood that I have made the right move and I feel that it is absolutely worth it.

If I get an opportunity to work with Aditya Birla Group of companies, I will choose Aditya Birla
Capital Limited. One of the reasons for this is my interest towards the domain. The other reason
is Aditya Birla Capital Limited being one of the largest financial players in India, it would
provide me the best platform to showcase my skills and help in further growth and development
in building my career in the domain. Due to the strong presence of the group across various
businesses, it would provide me a lot of corporate exposure and helps me in expediting my
professional career growth.
