IIM Udaipur has embodied the idea of helping every student actualize his/her full potential. Being on the recipient side, what astonishes me is the manner in which every member and activity in the institute aligns itself to this purpose.
Throughout my school and college education, I have been part of a system that has emphasized hierarchy. A year ago, when I joined this institution, I witnessed a change. I saw the Director of Institute standing in the same queue as students in the canteen, teachers and members of administration practising yoga along with students, open conversations and expression of thoughts. At the very beginning of my first year of MBA, the Director met with groups of students on multiple days and tried to understand their vision and expectations from the Institute. It felt like we mattered. I no longer saw a lacuna. Instead, I experienced inclusiveness. Everyone in the community was made to feel valuable. Respect for each of them intensified with such a system in place. Today, I am not scared of my shortcomings. I see value in my opinion, and the system gives it a voice.
For me, the uniqueness of IIM Udaipur lies in its ability to inculcate confidence and empowerment to every member of its community. I just do not learn business principles and strategy, I learn things about myself, and here, I learn lessons for long-term. At IIM Udaipur, I am valued, and I am empowered.

Given an opportunity, I would like to work with Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited, especially with Pantaloons. There are some brands that are aspirational and for me, Pantaloons feature in that list. My instant memory of Pantaloons takes me right back to my childhood when I used to watch Pantaloons Femina Miss India with my sister and grandmother. There is a sense of attachment that I feel with the Pantaloons, and therefore I would like to be a part of it.
As an aspiring manager, Pantaloons would be a great opportunity where I get to learn and develop my knowledge and skills on various nuances of business like retail management and strategy. I believe that it is important to work for things that you can relate and like, to bring out your best version. Retail is something that I would like to start my career with and advance.
