The day I reached IIM Shillong I met a girl, she is my roommate and my batch mate, a little lost, a little weird. She came in the room and introduced her as Nikita. She looked tired and exhausted by the journey and has already familiarised with few other girls. She sounded like a grandmother and asked me to join her for the dinner with the rest of her so-called new mates. Now after being with her for so many days I can tell she is the craziest of all and yet the most sincere amongst everyone. She turns out to be paranoid when she thinks she’s lagging in her academics and turns out to be fanatical when we want to have fun. She is the one person who laughs at each and every rubbish joke ever cracked. She is insane with all the diligence.
I met another girl named Pranishaa, God knows why she puts double ‘a’ in her name. When asked about what does Pranishaa means, she says that her name has no meaning. And I don’t know how that could be possible! She is the youngest among my friends yet the most caring and sensible one. When it comes to missing your mother or feeling homesick you couldn’t with her. She is a mother away from mother for all of us. She is such a selfless and sensitive person that she can leave her part just to make sure the other gets whatever is required. She’s from Chennai and now I’ve started learning Tamil from her.
Vidhi is the weirdest amongst all. She’s happy, she’s fun, she’s the one with whom gossip is fun, she’s the one who sleeps the most in the class but manages to excel in every part. She is the most experienced amongst many of us yet manages to surprise us by all her craziness. For sure she is the most sensible when it comes to handling all the mature talks. She’s from Indore and has a habit of calling her from central India, as if people don’t know where Indore is.
I met this guy during a group assignment, he sounded brilliant and sensible but when I really got to know he’s the most stubborn person with all the attitude yet he’s the most responsible person with a hidden caring attitude. His name is Abhishek Saxena, he’s like an egg with hard outer surface and soft within. He hates when I tell him this but he knows the truth. He’s the most attentive student in class and ends up making note of everything.
Abhishek Kumar Gautam, the artist of our batch. We got to know each-other by crazy incident of me asking him to drop some trash in the dustbin and he ended up saying your trash you should be the one disposing it. During a group assignment, he made a sketch of mine, which was next to perfection. He’s one of the people in my batch to whom I can reach out at any time. He’s one of the most helpful person.
Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited
If I ever get the opportunity to join one of the Aditya Birla Group Company I would like to join Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited. I chose this company because it deals with branded apparels. I have interest in fashion and retail and the company deals with ready to wear western, ethnic apparels for men, women and kids, footwear and accessories. It associated with various brands like Forever 21, Pantaloons, Allen Solly. I think according to my interest I’ll be best with Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. Because Indian fashion retail market witnesses several changes and this makes it more interesting and lucrative.
