It’s been just a week since the start of my journey at IIM Udaipur. Most of us didn’t know that we could be able to learn so many things in so little time. I never received so much acclaim for just trying something that I was unable to do. I am eventually learning to overcome my fears and trying to grab every opportunity. In a week’s time, we have learned to help and respect each other as a part of a family.

Integrity, Inclusion, Excellence, Transparency, Mutual respect are not just abided by but are worshipped here. Director Sir himself gets involved in smaller and mega- events, which is itself an inspiration to all of us. The professors are imparting knowledge of extreme eminence. The seniors are very supportive and everyone is ready to help. The members of CSA, PlaceComm and all other committees are easy to reach and interact. We seek help for anything and we get it. I am pretty overwhelmed to see the behavior of the Staff members, who are so polite and helpful as if they are a part of this family. They came and opened up the classrooms even at midnight. The thing that I liked about them is that they are enjoying what they are doing.

I continue to hear from my outside friends that our campus lacks basic infrastructure facilities, but since my stay here for the last ten days, I haven’t seen anything lacking in this campus. This is because all of us here value personal relations enormously. I did not saw anyone badmouth any other person. In our classrooms, we are given equal opportunities not knowing who we were.

Regarding the talent that is available on this campus, I feel like I need a lot of improvement despite doing everything that needs to be done. Everyone, in spite of being a topper in school or college, feels that they will be left behind if they do not work hard enough to match their peers. The level of competition is so high that I am having sleepless nights studying the very nuances of the course material. I would request you to come and feel this beautiful environment of learning. This college is producing Managers not only with brains but with strong hearts as well.

Which ABG company would I work for and why?

ULTRATECH CEMENT LIMITED.

For me, exposure, administrative culture, challenging opportunities, and appraisals in performance are the driving forces in any job. Ultratech Cements Limited is a respectable and flagship Company of ABG and has a lot of potentials. It is India’s largest exporter and manufacturer of cement. I got to know the work culture of Ultra Tech Cements of Aditya Birla Group through a senior in my school. His eyes were lit up when he was sharing his experience. I have been a Tech-driven person,

I feel that I could live up to its brand value, since the scope of growth is enormous here.
