Indian Institute of Management Indore is not just any campus, it is a learning temple for more than 500 postgraduate participants, more than 120 students of the Integrated program in management, more than 50 fellowship participants and many others.
For me, this institute was beyond my wildest imagination, the culture, the welcoming experience and most importantly the campus. The facilities provided here are beyond my dreams. Coming from Rajasthan and being given this opportunity to study here was challenging at first, but once we get a hang of the routine, meeting new students every day, interacting and learning from the professors, creating memories, the life gets easier.
The best part of this institute is its ambience. The lush green campus maintained by the administration is a view to look forward to. Post a tiring day of classes and discussions an hour sitting in the gardens, all your tardiness gets vanished and you feel invigorated. For a person visiting the campus first time will feel like it’s visiting a resort of some kind. The ambience is just too beautiful to be described in words. The campus, is situated on a hillock, is the prettiest sight from outside. At night you have the view of entire Indore- it is simply saying spectacular.
My campus is unique in a lot of ways, it all depends on the people that make it unique, that can be our director, our teachers and professors, my batch mates and even the people who work in our facilities like gardeners, the security and everyone involved.
The ABG company I would like to work for: MORE Megastores
Since I am interested in Sales and marketing, Aditya Birla retail limited or More megastores is my dream company. It is the fourth largest supermarket chain in the country after the future group, Reliance retail and D-mart. Aditya Birla group entered the industry after acquiring Trinethra Super Retail in 2007, which had a strong footprint in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil nadu and Kerala, with over 172 stores spread across the 4 states. Later all the stores were rebranded under the brand name “More.” There are currently 512 Supermarkets and 20 Hypermarkets and More aims to offer a shopping experience that delivers unbeatable value and quality.
Aditya Birla Retail Limited recorded sales of Rs. 3509 crores in the financial year ended in March 2016. This is an increase of over 21% over the previous year’s sales. The company reduced its operating loss by 7.4% to Rs. 108.8 crore in the year ended March 2016. I have been interested in the company since I did a project with the Indore branch of MORE megastores and would love an opportunity to work with them again.
