My campus is unique in its core structure – we have a small campus with limited resources, but the limited resources never compromise with the quality of the study. All the faculties here are PhD and they make sure that students learn theory with a practical approach. At campus, teachers and seniors are easily approachable – we at FMS believe in unity and the small campus brings us together. With its inception in 1954, the campus has seen all that has taken place in the business world, and thus holds an important place in India’s business history. At our campus, we make the optimum use of limited resources and learn to manage everything efficiently with minimum inputs – Managers are made to do so, aren’t they?

The Red Building of Dreams has made sure that every single student coming here realizes his/her dreams and pursue them. The campus has given birth to eminent industrialists, businessmen, and entrepreneurs such as Vineet Gupta, R.S. Butola, Abhishek Sudhakar etc. and I feel privileged to learn at such a renowned campus and be a part of such a prestigious university.

A memorable classroom experience in my B-school

There have been few weeks at FMS, and I already have numerous wonderful experiences. However, among these experiences, the most memorable would be the engaging session with our dean Sunita Singh Sengupta. Professor Sengupta is an epitome of elegance and positivity – her thoughts towards life and its values are really engaging and rewarding. Having firm believe in the importance of meditation for greater productivity and efficiency, she directed students in realizing their inner self. When she was addressing us, it felt as if a positive source of energy coming towards us – an energy which was as calm as the moon’s light. That two-hour long session with Professor Sengupta is the most memorable classroom experience so far, and I hope to have more life lessons from her.

Introducing- some of my crazy batchmates

My batch, Batch 2020, is full of crazy batchmates – some of them are:

Shanky Garg: First of all, his name is crazy, I wonder who keeps a name like that. Secondly, his mimicry skills are incomparable – he can mimic absolutely anyone. He is fun to talk to and the craziest batchmate on campus.

Sachin Meena: Sachin is someone who can rap continuously and is extremely talented in engaging the crowd.

Monisha Sadhukhan: This girl is a chai freak, she would visit chai stall every day and makes sure we accompany her. She is someone who can ditch anything for tea.

Adeeba Asmat: From the day one at FMS Delhi, we are busy with assignments and tasks. We hardly have time when we can relax and there is this girl who is fresh every time you meet her. She is a fashion freak, an expert at make-up, and takes extreme care of herself.

Which ABG company you would want to work for and why?

I would like to work for Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd as I would get to deal with lots of customers and that would give me immense exposure. The vast exposure would help me in learning new things every day and would provide me with a lot of opportunities. Also, the fashion and retail industry is very dynamic in nature and working there would help me in keeping track of changing consumer taste ad behavior. Aditya Birla is known for its open-door policy, where one can approach anyone at any level and get the understanding of business. The Aditya Birla Group and its Fashion & Retail sector would help me in my career growth and hence I would like to work for this company.
