IIM Indore’s PGP programme boasts of having the most diverse strength of 540 students. This not only just 540 students but 540 people from diverse backgrounds and experiences and people whom we can talk to and learn from. Every person adds and enhances the flavour of this prestigious institute. And so do the learned and respectable faculty of IIM Indore.
A day in the life of an IIM Indore student may be wrapped in case studies, assignments, positions of responsibilities, committees, interest clubs and activities. The crazy run to the academic block for the classes and the endless wait at the mess to get the food. From early morning lectures to the night sessions or be it on the weekends as well. These days are absolutely hectic, busy and extremely tiring. The campus is alive and kicking all the time. But on the other hand, there are days which are filled with festivals, late-night celebrations, visits to the city and nearby locations. There can never be a dull moment at Planet-I, as it is popularly called among the students.
The uniqueness of IIM Indore is evident from the various flagship programmes it offers to the students throughout its 2 year course lifetime.
The rural immersion programme or RIP, makes the participants understand and work with the rural authorities and people of Madhya Pradesh. This gives a major learning and exposure of the overall social architecture of rural India. Industry Interface Programme or IIP, involves students to visit a company once a week in the first week for studying an organizations functions and day-to-day workings that students can correlate with respect to their managerial cases in lectures. The Himalayan Outbound Programme or HOP, helps the students to deal with unexpected situations in outbound group exercises and challenges of working in a team to pursue objectives and goals in the beauty of the Himalayas. Student Exchange Programme or STEP, facilitates exchange of students from various international business schools.
The above programmes are just a snapshot of IIM Indore. There are student-run events or fests that make this B-school truly amazing.
IRIS, a Management Cultural festival brings in amazing talent from all over the country to a single platform. The i5 Summit inspires, motivates and celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit of IIM Indore. UDAAN focuses on bringing about a positive change and stimulating a cultural change in the minds of the people through marathon runs. Utsaha is a rural marketing fest that helps students solve problems in the real rural environment.
IIM Indore has strengthened itself as an excellent b-school over the years and is continuing to do so. Life here is unexpected and thrilling and in every sense amazing.

As part of the Industry Interface Programme of IIM Indore, I worked at More Megastore Indore. I was given a project in the F&V section for a period of 6 months. The F&V section’s emphasis on providing fresh fruits and vegetable at a competitive price is a challenging job. The amount of work that goes in handling retail services is commendable. I highly appreciate the work and dedication that I witnessed by my mentors there. This experience has taught me a lot about handling customer problems and issues. I identify with the values of integrity, commitment and passion that it stands for.
