Learning By Doing - IIM Kashipur

Currently there are 20 IIMs in India. The IIMs in ABCLKIS are considered to be the old IIMs. TKURR are considered as New IIMs while AVJBgNSmSr are the newest IIMs to join the leagues. My Alma Matter, IIM Kashipur was established in 2011 and was mentored by IIM Lucknow, known widely as the IIM Hell for its academic rigor. So academically, my institute is no less then any other institute, if anything it is arguably one of the better institutes in terms of the quality of academics. What makes my institute really unique is the location. The location has helped the institute grow at a very good pace. The location has helped the institute not only academically but also helped the students apply what they learn in the classroom to real life situation thus practicing “Learning by Doing’ mantra.

Unique Location And Unique Campus - IIM Kashipur

IIM Kashipur has a unique location. Located in a small town and constructed in an isolated area gives students a chance to study and grow out from the distractions and hassle of a big city. The campus has a lot of greenery and is surrounded by nature with lots of small animals which gives a unique experience to all the students who come from big cities. The campus has a natural pond which has different waterbodies adding to the beauty of the campus.

Place Of Serenity - IIM Kashipur

The serenity catches you as soon as you pass the Kashipur city. In the middle of dark, there stands the well-lit campus of the IIM Kashipur. As you enter the campus, you see the wide roads, plush greenery, leading to the academics block of the institute. I was in awe of the infrastructure that has been provided here when I visited the institute first time. Constructed by one of the construction giants, “ShapoorjiPallonji Group” the red brick walls add to the aesthetic masterpiece it is. The campus boasts of single occupancy hostels which have the capacity to accommodate 500+ students. Each hostel wing consists of four floors and 6 individual rooms in each floor. Each floor is provided with a fully automatic washing machine, a microwave oven, an R.O. and a refrigerator. Where can you get such facilities outside your home? The answer is simple, your next home for 2 years. It has a fully student run mess which provides mouthwatering food 4 times a day.it also have 2 table -tennis tables and a television as a mind refresher.

Near The Foot Of Himalayas - IIM Kashipur

IIM Kashipur is nestled in the foothills of Himalayas. The campus is truly unique as even though the institute oversees the Sivalik range it is located near one of the densest industrial belt in the country with more than 300 organizations having operational plants. The institute shares extremely close proximity with the Jim Corbett National Park and is a short drive away from popular hill stations like Nainital, Musoorie, Ranikhet amongst many others. The diversity in surroundings creates a perfect atmosphere for academic and industrial exposure coupled with natural surroundings which the students can explore (Schedule Permitting). Being in the vicinity of various public and private institutions, students get numerous opportunities for interactions in both the public and private spheres.
