During my summer internship at a stakeholder communication consultancy firm, a client suddenly wanted to change an entire annual report strategy two days before printing the annual report. The client was unhappy with my team’s first draft, so we were tasked with redoing the entire plan. We organized a late-night brainstorm that evening. After hours of work, I asked to take the lead on putting together a new deck. This was challenging because it was my first time putting a deck together and also our one chance to make the client happy again. I overcame this challenge by looking at previously successful presentations for the client, analyzing the feedback they gave on our initial presentation and incorporating all of the team’s ideas into the new deck. The client was ultimately thrilled with the fresh plan, and all of the new ideas we included!”

I am certainly triggered by the rural development and community activities, Aditya Birla Group focuses on.The Group reaches out to seven million people in 3,000 villages in India annually, through the Aditya Birla Centre for Community Initiatives and Rural Development spearheaded by Rajashree Birla. It has its prime focus on healthcare, education, sustainable livelihood, infrastructure and promotes social reform. It runs 42 schools that provide quality education to 45,000 children, and of these, 18,000 students belong to the underprivileged segment. Not just this, Merit scholarships are given to an additional 12,000 children from the interiors.The Aditya Birla Group have been and continue to be indulged in meaningful, welfare driven initiatives that distinctively impact the quality of life of the rural poor. For over 50 years now, they have been extremely successful in doing that. The vision is to actively contribute to the social and economic development of the communities in which they operate, thereby building better sustainable way of life for the weaker sections of the society and improving the lives of millions of people.
