As a person who grew the majority of his teenage in a village, I was fascinated by the technological innovation Aditya Birla Group has brought in our life. I was brought up in a typical lower middle-class family. We had purchased a laptop for assisting me and my sister in academics. But the absence of internet connectivity posed a challenge for us since access to the internet was necessary for data collection and research. We were running out of options on how to access the internet in the most affordable and convenient method.

Founded by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla in 1857, Aditya Birla group had its humble beginnings from being a cotton and jute trading business to a business powerhouse with an annual turnover of 44 billion $ (2018).

My Sixth Five Year Plan

It has been a month now since I joined MDI and honestly speaking, I do not know how that much time has gone by already. Before I kicked off my MBA journey, like many other aspirants who were excited to go back to college, I had read a lot about how life at MDI is supremely fast paced and I used to wonder how fast can it really get? I got the answer in the first week I spent here itself. It has been a wonderfully hectic one month till now. I say this because even though I have spent sleepless nights working on various projects and catching deadlines, it has been one of the best months of my life. I enjoy being busy, managing time like I never had to before, collaborating with friends to get things done and the hustle with which everyone keeps themselves going.

A journey so far

“I deserve better”. This is the only line I remember myself saying time and again. Surely that’s what kept me going through all phases of my life. Always striving to do better. And I had to, life can never be consistent, to anyone. That is a well-accepted truth. Yet, for some, it’s a little more difficult to stay on the track. Why? Because we all have a “fire in our belly”. Ready to do something. To work hard. To achieve. To be content. But, achieve what? Now that’s where I would say some are luckier than the others. To have a dream that you can turn into a goal with your vision is the best thing a person can own. Many have that sorted early in their lives and many are still lost searching for it.
