WHY IS ABG IMPORTANT TO ME?
About a decade ago, people refered to food, clothing and shelter as the basic necessities of life.
Life is a journey and it is a culmination of various events that shape one’s outlook towards life. Not only the people that we are associated with, but also the things that we use in our daily life has an impact on how we think and feel.
A challenge that I have faced n my life was that after completing my 12th Boards Exam I had my AIEEE but after 10 minutes of starting with my exam we got the news that the paper had leaked and that the exam would not be conducted on that day. Later after some time there was a news that the exam would be conducted on that day but a few of the centers where AFMC exam was to be conducted in the Afternoon slot would not have their exam on that day and another date would be circulated to them after some time. I was a candidate from this category of center had so had to wait for my exam date to come. My exam date was announced and it clashed with my sister’s wedding date. I couldn’t take my exam as I was out of station and there was no way that I could reach to my center within such small span of time.
I have been brought up by my grandparents in a tribal district of odisha called Kandhamal. I spent first fifteen years of my life in that district. I got my initial education in a vernacular school. In 2007 my father got transferred to Bhubaneswar (state capital) and I got an opportunity to study in DAV Public School. The shift from 18 students in a classroom to a class of 180 students was very challenging for me. And my vernacular background added more difficulty to this challenge. Initially the students bullied me a lot for my background and my accent. It was difficult for me to cope with the studies along with all these pressure. I went to my grandfather to seek his help as he was my all-time best friend. He just said me one thing "Knowledge is powerful but learning is super power". Your knowledge about the language and communication might not be very good but no one can stop you to learn that. I took his words seriously and started working on my curricular as well as co-curricular activities. Ultimately in class-X board exams I came out with flying colors and secured a rank in states Best 20 students.
Challenge, the word brings a spark to my eyes. I believe challenges make us realize our true potential, helps us to work harder and gives an amazing opportunity to do what is right. That’s how challenges have shaped my life. Like every other student, dreamer, possibility thinker I have faced challenges day in and out of different intensity, and each & every challenge has contributed to my growth. A few notable highlights,
