A HEATED SITUATION - TAPMI

After my school education I moved out of my city for higher secondary academics. It was a very studious environment that I had got admitted. I gradually got accustomed to the routine and environment. But the climate was something that was consistently haunting me. It caused a lot of health issues periodically. But I never gave up, I had to prove a point. I was consistent in my grades, preparation throughout and was very well prepared for the final encounter. But destiny did not want to give things away easily to me. Two days before my final exam I had a large heat boil full of pus on my lower back. There was enormous amount of pain. Neither could I concentrate on revision nor could I sit comfortably on a chair. On the day, I took a pillow, went to my seat settled down and said one thing to myself "It was all done for today". Next thing I remember was the invigilator come to me to take my paper. I had spent the three hours completely engrossed into the paper. This happened for the next six days of the exam. I fared 94.83% in the exam and more than the result I was happy that I had no excuses to give to myself. I was happy that I had achieved what I came for come what may. One thing I realized that day was no mater what difficulty you are in, no matter what resistance you face in life you should know what you have enrolled for. You should know it is all in your mind and you cant give up before giving it a fight with all your might.

Not a day in my life passes without coming into contact with an Aditya Birla Group(ABG) product or service in some way or the other. I wake up in the morning and gives a call to girlfriend from my Idea sim. There starts my daily journey with ABG . After getting ready , I put on my Peter England shirt and Louis Philippe jeans and decide to head out. On my way, I see a huge billboard advertisement for Ultratech cement. The ABG logo makes me realise that it is an ABG brand. I reach the nearest mall , where my friends are waiting for me. We go into the Pantaloons store to pick up some new clothes to wear on the occasion of our friend’s marriage. My friends tell me that Pantaloons is from the house of ABG. After a fun filled day I come back home. I ask my dad about ABG’s presence in our lives. He tells me that the roofing sheets used in our house are Hindalco, an ABG brand. With an ignited curiosity, I decide to learn more about Aditya Birla Group. I come to know that the group was founded in 1857, the year India witnessed its first war of Independence. I realise that since then ABG has been at the forefront of transforming the lives of millions for the better , through constant innovation and foraying into new industry sectors. With a presence ranging from Agribusiness to Chemicals and from Textile to Wind power , ABG is a true multinational conglomerate. The Aditya Birla Group will continue to be a big presence not in my life alone, but in the lives of millions all over the world.

I remember during childhood all of us aspired to be business tycoons. The name Birla was omnipresent where I grew up (which is Kerala by the way). A common riposte we had to anyone asking us the commonplace question, “who do you want to be when you grow up?” was invariably meted out with “I want to be like Tata and Birla”. I remember watching Aditya Birla’s ad ‘Taking India to the world’ repeatedly during prime-time television. The brilliant music and stunning visuals were at par to none. I used to stop whatever I was doing halfway and run to the television the moment I header the music, to catch a glimpse of the visual treat. I’m flabbergasted and cannot fathom, why, even with the advancements in computing technology and VFX, has nobody even attempted to recreate the success of a television commercial of this genre! Even the Hindalco fresh wrap ad between commercial breaks of ‘Tom and Jerry’ was mouth-watering enough to give me a craving!
