Because there's light at the end of the tunnel!

One of the most challenging phases in my life was when I was diagnosed with PCOS. Poly cystic ovary syndrome is a hormonal disorder. As a result of it, I had gained around 10 kg. There were a lot of  associated issues like low self esteem, mood swings, acne, etc. For a few months, I couldn't actually comprehend as to why I was changing appearance and behavior wise. I looked and felt different.I was vulnerable with little confidence. It was horrifying to see myself breakdown when I couldn't take the pain. With the help of my doctor, I slowly learnt to accept the changes. She made me look at it in a different perspective where I decided to embrace the transformation rather than rejecting it. Gradually, I also got the courage to start working on myself. I used to follow a healthy diet along with regular exercise. The process was tough physically as well as mentally. But, I had made up mind that I wanted to experience everything so as to derive pleasure out of it instead of getting bogged down by it. Gradually, I started witnessing results. I was getting happier and healthier at the same time. This precisely reminded me that all our problems lie in our minds. Anything can be as big a problem as you perceive it to be. Of course, I am not completely cured of the disorder but I feel better which is a major accomplishment for me. 

My Journey to IIM Ranchi with Aditya Birla Group

My journey started in Haryana and continued in a small town of Western Uttar Pradesh named Sikandrabad. Till tenth board results came, my journey was a breeze. I passed with flying colors, securing more than 90 percent marks in the tenth board exams- that used to be a pretty big thing- at that time.
