No matter what, in life you have to overcome challenges to achieve your goals. One such goal of mine was to get selected into NMIMS Bengaluru and I had to overcome plenty of challenges to get admission into this college.
Did you know that the clothes we wear can have a subtle effect on your anxiety and confidence levels?Certain types of clothing can significantly decrease our levels of anxiety, while other types of clothing can increase your anxiety as well as negatively impact your self-confidence. I’m personally a believer in the notion that wearing fashionable but, at the same time comfortable clothes can make us more charismatic and likable, and in turn, more confident.
It was my 15th birthday and I had just got a new mobile phone as a gift. I had always been a huge fan of the Abhishek Bachchan starring 'Idea' ads, so I went to my nearest 'recharge store' and 'got Idea'. For the next couple of years, 'Idea' became my best friend. It was there when I asked someone out for the first time in life, it was there when I called up my parents to tell them I had failed a test, it was there when I had my first heartbreak, and it was there for every moment before and after. They say that the years 16 through 19 are the years you grow up- from being a happy-go-lucky teenager to a young man with actual responsibilities. Well then in a sense, Idea was there while I was growing up- through happiness and through pain. The low cost group calling kept friends together, the free messages per day kept long distance relationships alive and the Idea Internet Network got us through last minute project submissions. Not all heroes wear capes.
Aditya Birla Group has been part of my family’s life since a very long time. From the time we build our house to purchasing our daily groceries. I live in a small Town in Kerala and Planet Fashion was one of the very first branded apparel outlets in the town. For the first time we had easy access to the brands such as Van Heusen, Peter England and so on. Until then, we had to travel over 50 kms to have access to these brands.
Challenges are the 'c' to your life’s 'y = mx'. After cracking CAT and getting into a premium B-School, my real journey has begun.
After a lot of thought about my write up, I decided to keep it short and crisp.
When I was working in IBM, I decided to pursue an MBA to fulfill my dreams. I attempted CAT in 2016 but couldn’t get a good percentile. I was depressed and sad as I worked hard and really wanted to do MBA. I was not able to concentrate on studies due to work pressure in office and shift issues. I realized if I plan to continue both job and studies for one more year, I may not be able to pursue MBA. So, I decided to quit my job and concentrate on studies. Many people at office suggested me not to quit the job because there is no guarantee that I will get good result next year and it would be tough for me to find another job. But with the support of my parents and friends, I took the decision and resigned to the job.
