Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies is not just a name; it’s a legacy of a half century. Established in 1965 by the University of Mumbai in collaboration with the GSB, Stanford University, it has built and maintained its reputation as one of the top 10 business school in India. With the help of an extensive list of accomplished alumni, it has made and earned its name as “The CEO Factory”.

The first day in JBIMS, in the month of July or August, starts with an induction programme conducted by the students and faculty. This induction programme is rigorous, extensive, and insightful training period uniquely designed for a fresher to prepare them for the challenges they would face in the coming time during the course and even in the industry.

The first couple of months are nothing but a hustle. A schedule filled with lectures, guest lectures, pre-placement talks, projects, competitions and assignments. The biggest shocker for me was the time-table. Well, because JB doesn’t have one. The teachers who come and teach over here do not teach anywhere else in the country. Every hour that they spend with us is worth millions. But they come to teach because they respect Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies and wish to give back to the college. You can know about lectures just a night prior. This is the perfect time when you can either show or learn time management skills. A lot of companies come for guest lectures and pre-placement talks for the summer internship placements. The current first-year batch is placed in some of the biggest names in the industry, acquiring roles in consulting, brokerage, banking and NBFC firms. Again, the placement process would be rigorous; at times the reporting would be as early as 6 am, as the delegates of many companies come early morning. Also, by the end of the first semester, you would get the opportunity to attend various workshops that are industry necessary.

It is a great privilege for anyone to work in a reputed company like Aditya Birla Group. The Aditya Birla Group is in the League of Fortune 500. It is anchored by an extraordinary force of over 120,000 employees, belonging to 42 different nationalities. Also, the group has strong values as Integrity, Passion, Speed, Seamlessness and Commitment.
