Growing up in India, classrooms have matured along with ourselves. Remember the times when we were small, really really small when we used to cry every day to school, didn’t want to leave our cosy homes when the classroom was all about fun and exploring, and later came a time when things started to get serious, like really serious. Your whole life supposedly was decided by what you did in those classrooms. Only as we grew did we know that they were all wrong; that there was always a silver lining waiting for us. But rest assured that, ‘The classroom experience’ has in many ways made us into what we are today.

When you enter a B-School, you have your usual worries and nuances to look after, an umbrella, a 6-subject diary, ready to eat food, clean clothes, faculties, type of lectures and many more. But another thing that was on my mind was my desk mate. Usually, your places are fixed and allotted by the administrative department, so my apprehensions, about how the person I would have to spend the next year in classes with were genuine. It was almost as if the PGP Gods had my fate in their hands. So this experience is all about my first day in class.

IIM Indore is one of the largest, prettiest and scintillating campuses across all the campus in this country. With lush green lawns, open to sky areas, cool wind blowing across the campus almost throughout the year and much more. But one thing which I feel truly differentiates this campus from all others is the architecture and the way it has been planned. With a stadium like building for the classes with a lush green lawn with a tricolor soaring high in the sky, it truly gives a feeling of patriotism.

Five Years Of Love: IIM Indore
Sitting on the top of the lush green beautiful hill, the best thing about IIM Indore is the broad array of academic opportunities which it provides to students like me. There are a vast number of academic fields of study which one can pursue, such as psychology, neuroscience, stochastic process and accounting. I feel like I will be able to pursue any interests I have at this university, which is essential as I try to make an informed choice about my career path. It seems as if all doors are open here, allowing me to truly be the captain of my destiny. In addition to this, diversity and acceptance are emphasized a great deal at my university, as they should be. This focus has greatly enriched my education and experiences. Instead of shying away from different views and experiences, I have been able to fully engross myself in them and discuss different views with others. The professors rarely censor students, and because of this openness, students become more tolerant of others beliefs and lifestyles. The diversity of my campus, and its focus on educating the population of this diversity has been one of the greatest contributors to my education at this university.
