Belonging to a civil engineering family I am not a stranger to Ultratech cement, neither is anyone else, I wear Peter England and Allen Solly ,I use Vodafone- idea network and I love pantaloons and abof but that is not the only reason why ABG is big for me.it is big for me because of the things it does beyond business. ABG reaches out to 7.5 million people, operates 56 schools for 46,500 school children, immunized 70 million children against polio, providing mid-day meals to 63000 school children every day and many other activities. Of course, many of these are mandatory CSR activities but the social empowering activities of this bulk not only requires extraordinary supervision but also passion, passion for making a better world and that is why Aditya Birla group is big for me.

Three stages of my life with Aditya Birla Group

The founder of the Aditya Birla Group, Seth Shiv Narayan Birla and I share the same place of origin that is Pilani, Rajasthan. I began studying in a school that is managed and maintained by his family and have studied there for ten years and thus I owe my knowledge and understanding of the world to his family’s philanthropic activities, even my father is an alumnus of the same school and had studied there for twelve years. My next association was when I got my first mobile phone, I had subscribed to Idea Cellular Network, the network and customer service experience was beyond satisfactory. I stayed a loyal customer for over three years until I had to move to a different city and had to switch to a different network due to some reasons. However, my association with Aditya Birla Group didn’t end there, after my graduation and before joining my first job I went shopping for formal wear and I happen to try Louis Philippe, which I wasn’t aware at that time was an Aditya Birla Group brand, it was the best brand I had tried for formals and later when I realized that it’s an Indian brand I was shocked, but it felt good at the same time as I was of the opinion that international brands are superior to the Indian brands and after knowing Allen Solly, Van Heusen and Peter England are all Aditya Birla Group’s brands my perception changed. I’m sure this group will keep on making my life better and changing my perception in the future.

In life we regularly experience life decisions where we need to take one stand or the other. In the wake of scoring sensibly decent evaluations in tenth standard, I needed to pick what I need to seek after further throughout everyday life. Amongst many aspirants I took science and hoped to be an engineer. I moved out of the house for the first time, to a new city and newer challenges.

Yesterday, I searched Aditya Birla Group on different platforms especially on LinkedIn while completely being unaware of the fact that most of the clothes I possessed, either was in house brands of Aditya Birla Group or owned by them. What I found was 34 pages of Aditya Birla subsidiaries on LinkedIn with 10 results on each page. It is such a huge organization.
