Aditya Birla Group founded by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla in 1857 is an Indian multinational conglomerate enjoys a leadership position in all the sectors in which it operates; metals, cement, textiles, telecom, financial services, retail, branded apparel etc. achieving the dreams and the needs of million people .Its products and services touch every person’s life uniquely. It has left no stone unturned and has made a mark by creating a 162 year legacy.

Aditya Birla Group has affected lives of millions and many Industries from various domains. Aditya Birla Group was founded about a century before India’s independence and has been contributing to the society ever since. Grasim Industries Ltd, the flagship of the Aditya Birla Group, was incorporated on 25 August 1947, just 10 days after India became independent. The firm then manufactured textiles from imported raw materials. Grasim is now a global leader in viscose staple fibre. In 1965, Basant Kumar Birla started Eastern Spinning Mills and Industries. In 1969, Aditya Vikram Birla started Indo-Thai Synthetics Co. Ltd, the Birla family’s first overseas venture. He went on to set up 19 companies outside India—in Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Egypt. Because of Aditya Vikram Birla’s contribution, Aditya Birla Group is the world’s largest producer of carbon black and the largest refiner of palm oil. It is also the largest Indian multinational with manufacturing operations in the US, according to the group’s website. In 1995, the firms Aditya Vikram Birla controlled had over Rs.8,000 crore in revenue globally, with assets of over Rs.9,000 crore, comprising 55 plants and 75,000 employees.

Aditya Birla Group is a company which has played a great role in everyone’s life on a daily basis. It is a conglomerate which deals in a wide range of sectors such as metals, textiles, carbon black, telecom, cement and fashion. I remember buying my first mobile phone in the 9th in school. I chose Idea as the service provider as all my friends at that time were using it because of the mygang plan which was a plan made for students. Idea helped us connect at all times when we wanted to study for exams or plan outings. This enabled me to build lifelong bond with my friends. ABG’s fashion brands have also had a great impact on my life especially Van Heusen and Peter England. These two outlets are present in close proximity to my house. Through its brands, it targets different customer segments without cannibalizing on its brands. I bought my first set of formals from Peter England for my first interview. They gave me the confidence to face this challenge of securing my first job. These are some of the experiences change a person’s life, it makes it better.
