Challenges are a part and parcel of our life and there are ups and downs but we have to trust and believe in ourselves. From the very beginning of my life I missed opportunities by small gaps being it in my studies or be it in my life but I never stopped my hard work or my focus in life. I wanted to be a doctor from my childhood but could not clear it by slight margin and I took up engineering. That was the time when I faced the biggest failure in my life. But I didn’t give up and worked hard. I cleared the interview of an IT company and joined in the production support team.

With its interests ranging from viscose staple fiber to services in the BPO and the IT sector, its strong presence can be felt everywhere. ABG has been ranked fourth in the world and first in Asia in the “Top Companies for Leaders”, in a 2011 study conducted by Aon Hewitt, Fortune Magazine and RBL. It has also topped in 2013-14, the Nielsen’s Corporate Monitor and was considered the “Best in Class” for the consecutive year. It’s really difficult for me to think of any one single ABG product and state its importance in my life. One of ABG’s product line “Ultra Tech Cement”, that produces cement, wall care putty, white cement etc. was used in the construction of my house in my hometown. And its really hard to encapsulate the feelings that everybody in my family including me had, when the house got completed. Similar to that experience, is the one that I had with, ABG’s Pantaloons Fashion & Retail that deals in branded apparel retail, I had from one of its store in my hometown purchased my Allen Solly’s formal coat and trouser, for my Group Discussion and Personal Interview Round for TAPMI, moreover, I after that got the opportunity of proudly wearing the same coat and trouser in the induction ceremony conducted by TAPMI, for the batch of 2019-21. There are so many more instances where ABG played massive in my live, ABG has always been special to me and will continue to remain so in future as well. It has been my constant companion in the journey of life in one way or the other and I know it will continue to play that role in my life till the rest of my life.

The Big picture -TAPMIA big picture is made of many tiny pieces. And that’s something I can imagine when I recollect how people and things around us make huge impact on our lives. The impact is the big picture.One day as I can recall, When I bought my first cycle, it made me merry with joy. Little did I realise the importance of the strength of steel required for the bicycle for my own safety.When my father built a house for us. I asked him how many years would be the life of the house. My father told me it would be perfect for 150 years from now. I always wondered how he was so confident about it. Now I know that he was confident about the cement and steel used to build the house.My mother buys groceries from a retail store. She believes in the quality and nutritional value of the food she makes using those groceries. How is she so sure about the quality? Does she worry about this while feeding that food to us. Not really. That’s because she believes in the quality of groceries the store sells.Millions , like me travel in trains, metros everyday. No one thinks everyday about how safe a train is. Would it probably crack or break? How are people so sure?My father bought me a pair of pants and a top on my 16th birthday. I still use them. I am nostalgic about them even though they are just a pair of clothes. Because I am emotional about them. The quality of the clothes help me keep them for long and even use them.I bought a pair of formals recently for my first interview . I loved the fact that it gave me the confidence while I was nervous to face the interview. The perfect stitch and material made me feel comfortable and confident.Why am I writing about the all the every day experiences I had. Maybe these are the experiences billion others had. This is the big picture . Impact on billions of life Aditya Birla group is making. The products I referred above were steel, cement , clothing , Retail and many such things which a average man in India uses. All of which bought at the cost of a really hard labour. What do we expect in return, reliable goods and services which would be a part of our life.The big picture being that my life always revolves around products so reliable and affordable by Aditya birla group that it has collectively made a big impact.

FACING ADVERSITIES-TAPMI

Fire is the test of gold; adversity of men. School life has been a very protective environment for me. Never facing adversities. The academic life had been extremely fulfilling for many years. Earning accolades, being at leadership positions in school was natural. Then school ended and I decided to take up the prestigious Chartered Accountancy as a career option. The initial two levels of the course passed on extremely smooth. However, then failure hit and it hit hard. The final examination of CA became a tough nut to crack. After multiple attempts, I managed to clear 1 group of papers but success in the 2nd group still eluded me. Meanwhile I took up a job in a local CA firm and started teaching a small group of Higher Secondary students on the side. Now, when after many attempts I still couldn’t clear the 2ndgroup of papers, my dream of entering the industry in a Finance role seemed far-fetched.

As I was ready to start my bschool journey, I had one vision, which was to impact and bring about a change in the lives of people and do something extraordinary in this ordinary world. This is one of the main reasons why, Aditya Birla Group is my dream company. Aditya Birla Group, one of the biggest conglomerates of India is impacting millions of life everyday. With its presence in the vast number of sectors, this company has made our life easier and more sustainable, whether it is about comfortable fashion, reliable cement which keeps us safe today, or the network which makes the distance disappear between the loved ones. I have been using the brands of this group since ages, whether it is about stylish dressing from Forever 21, or the comfortable and confidence booster formals from Van Heusen and Allen Solly, whether it is about investing in SIPs like Aditya Birla Sun life Equity Advantage fund, or whether it is the delicious pastries at Delice. It is a part of my every day life.
