(Edit : Team InsideIIM's analysis on the new process to be published soon. We sent a few questions to the IIM Calcutta Placement cell for clarification on certain rules. Find the questions and the responses from IIM C below the press release.)
We are extremely happy to have IIM Indore on board with the Placement Committee verifying the report in the InsideIIM format.
6th in our Series is the campus from the National Capital - FMS Delhi. As always FMS Delhi reports a terrific placement season and gives more reasons to aspirants to choose FMS over many others in the country. Imagine an investment of less than Rs. 50,000 in 2 years for an average salary of Rs.16.34 lacs. Not many business schools in the world can give that kind of ROI. It is extraordinary. Another aspect to note is the line up of companies in the FMCG Marketing domain. It is quite an enviable list.
There was never any doubt about the fact that IIM Calcutta was one of the best campuses for Placements in India (if not the best!). But this performance in a difficult year is truly noteworthy and speaks volumes of IIM Calcutta's reputation and the strength of it's alumni base. You would have read the report of IIM Bangalore earlier on this website. And we have to reiterate, its IIM ABC and the rest. Please find the Placement Report below:
Update on 13th April 2012 - The report has now been verified with inputs from the IIM Kozhikode placement committee.
IIM Lucknow completed its Final Placements for the Class of 2012 and it seems it won't be too long before it enters the big league (read: IIM ABC) as long as Recruitment in India is concerned. Top Consulting companies like BCG and McKinsey are not only regulars at IIM Lucknow but also they hire in good numbers now. Finance has taken a hit but then that is the case across campuses and hence should not surprise anyone. Other more stable domains like Sales & Marketing, IT etc. have maintained a strong presence as always and should have given a wide variety of choices to graduates of the Class of 2012. A slightly bigger batch size in a difficult environment would have made it an extremely competitive year especially for the coveted jobs.
We are happy to share the 2nd placement report in our series (after XLRI Jamshedpur) and the first among the IIMs – IIM Bangalore for the Class of 2012.
