What are the general eligibility criteria for these Executive Programmes?
These MBA programs are designed for people with prior work experience. The basic eligibility criteria for the programs at IIMs are at least 5 years of work experience ( 4 for IIM-Ahmedabad) and valid test center-based GMAT and GRE scores. For ISB, the minimum work experience required is two years. Apart from the form filling you are shortlisted based on your scores. Essay writing is a crucial part of the selection process apart from the interviews where you are judged on your management skills and quality of work experience.
Does applying in a later round in ISB or Executive MBA at IIMs affect your chances of admission?
No, the admissions process is similar in the three rounds at these B-Schools. Applying in a later round or Round 3 does not affect your selection.
Can I apply to ISB if I take the GMAT now?
Yes, the deadline for ISB is 8th December 2024 for round 2 which gives you ample time to give the GMAT exam. If you are underprepared you can reappear before the third deadline or apply directly in Round 3.
What is a good GMAT score for an Executive MBA in India?
A GMAT score above 670-680 is a good score to apply for the executive MBA programs at IIMs. To know more about the current batch profile at PGPX, EPGP, and MBAEx check this article. For ISB 700+ will be a good score. These scores are on average trends of the old GMAT edition. For GMAT focus, the cut-offs can be slightly lower. Both GMAT old and Focus edition scores are valid for admission.
