My evol'U'tion At IIM Udaipur

19th June 2017, the day when I came to the campus of IIM Udaipur. All through my journey, I was thinking about my future MBA life, campus etc. When I entered the campus the first day, my heart filled with joy just by looking at the beautiful campus. IIM Udaipur has the largest campus among all the IIMs which is situated amidst the Aravalli hills of Udaipur. Coming from a rural background, I had poor communication skills. I used to hesitate and stammer while interacting with people. I lacked self-confidence. But IIM Udaipur has given me an opportunity to develop my personality. It offered me a big platform to show my talent and to build skills. The academic rigour and various club/committee activities developed time management, leadership and presentation skills. By working in the different clubs, I learned teamwork. I am a member of the following clubs:-

Just Another Day At IIM Udaipur

The first term at a B-school is the most memorable and frenetic time that one has to go through in this two-year transformational journey called MBA. It is the time when everlasting bonds of friendship are built, the time when one realizes that the limits can always be stretched a little bit more. It was one such night, with the deadline of a submission approaching, when my partners in crime and I decided that we needed to pull an ‘all-nighter’ if we were to avoid the wrath of our professor the next day. In all our naivety we also had taken part in one of those corporate competitions that are supposed to enrich your CV.

IIM Indore: An Enthralling Experience

IIM Indore is situated on a hill called Prabandh Shikhar in the outskirts of Indore. It has a vast campus of 193 acres, with a great deal of architecture. It has a lot of facilities like there are many gyms, one huge Olympic sized swimming pool, one big cricket stadium, one basketball court, and different options for food on the campus. Our college also screens new Bollywood movies every weekend. There are amazing hostels where every student gets a whole room to themselves. The academic block is a treat to eyes. The architecture is so close to the logo of our college.

Gem Of A B-School - Life At IIM Udaipur

I still remember last year, it was around the same time, when I was sitting with a 99.75 percentile in hand, and no converts yet. I didn’t even get a call from most of the old IIMs. I just kept my fingers crossed and hoped to convert some IIM. And then the day finally arrived. I had converted all the new IIMs. The question then came up. What now? Which IIM to take? After my research I finally narrowed it down to IIM Udaipur and not once do I regret my decision. And it has lived up to its name in every aspect. An academically driven place, that’s what IIM Udaipur is, and that’s what I wanted. Once you have the foundation laid you don’t need to worry about anything.
